Ayesha Kapadia is a multidisciplinary visual artist who lives and works in Bombay, India.
With a background in traditional advertising, Ayesha’s body of work spans across Brand Identity Design, Art & Creative Direction, Illustration, Paintings and Video Art. Her work is experimental and led by curiosity. By applying abstraction, she creates intense personal moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer round and round in circles. Her works are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. More of the artist's work can be found on www.instagram.com/kometjuice
This particular series of black and white drawings were made during the lockdown.
“I've consciously decided to respond to my emotions in the language I know best, drawing. These drawings are reflections of observational processing and a tool through which I communicate with my thoughts. Most times I'm not aware of 'meaning' only until after the drawings are complete.”
